Why I am Running!
As a resident of this special district, I am asking for your support to make Hawaii a better place to live and to take action to raise the quality of life for the citizens in our community! I know we can and must do better. Whether it is the economy, education, efficiency in government, Hawaii’s rich history, or any other issue, we must have a government that helps us solve our problems, not create new ones. We must empower the people of Hawaii to begin building a prosperous and safer community built on Hawaii’s diversity. I will stand up for these principles not just in print and words, but in action.
As the son of immigrant parents, I understand deeply what it means to work hard and to want your children to have a better life. It is with this gratitude that I attended West Point and have served overseas as a combat veteran. In serving our country, I learned the values and benefits of leadership, honor, discipline and accountability. As a small business owner, I understand intimately the challenges of the small business community and the impediments that block the flow of prosperity to our community, the valuable prosperity that provides important jobs and funds the important programs that sectors of our community rely on. This year I am grateful to have been recognized as the 2010 Young Business Leader of the Year by Pacific Business News. I would like to bring those business skills to serve the residents of our community by running for the House of Representatives.
My vision for Hawaii: Hawaii is a state where grandparents are proud to watch their families succeed, parents feel secure that their families have a bright future in our Aloha State, and our youth are prepared and look forward to being successful.
